Festival of Kassandra
Kassandra, Halkidiki is renowned not only for its stunning beaches but also for its vibrant summer festivals that celebrate arts and culture. Among the most notable are the Siviri Festival, the Sani Festival, and the Moudania Festival.
The Siviri Festival, held in the picturesque amphitheater of Siviri, offers a rich program of theatrical performances, concerts, and dance events. Taking place throughout the summer months, it attracts acclaimed Greek and international artists, making it a cultural highlight of the region.
Equally prestigious is the Sani Festival, hosted on the grounds of the luxurious Sani Resort. It began in 1992 and has evolved into a major cultural institution, primarily known for its jazz concerts held atop the Sani hill, with the sea and sunset as a backdrop. Over time, it has expanded to include classical music, contemporary performances, and art exhibitions.
The Moudania Festival, also known as the Festival of the Sea, takes place in Nea Moudania and is deeply rooted in local traditions. It includes concerts, dance shows, theatrical acts, and a symbolic re-enactment of fishermen returning from sea. The festival aims to preserve the area's maritime heritage while offering unforgettable entertainment.
